Mimaki CJV Compatible Ink

Hi all,

Recently purchased a Mimaki CJV150-160 after trading in the VG640 .. question is what ink are people using?

The genuine ink is approx £90+VAT for 440ml .. extortionate ..

I'm looking at other alternatives, with many available.. (I am aware the warranty will void)

SunChemical, Colorific, Colormagic, Daemon, and many others..

Any reviews of what people have used and any issues etc would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Re: Mimaki CJV Compatible Ink

After trying several different 3rd party inks, my advice would be DON'T DO IT. Try Adapt for the Mimaki ink.

Stick with OEM inks.
I knackered a JV3 over 2 years by using a well known alternative.
You shouldn’t be paying more than £80 per ink btw.

Re: Mimaki CJV Compatible Ink

Our Mimaki is approx 7 years old, bout new and converted to Colourmill ink after just 3 months.

Still on the same head. Prints 4 days out of 5. We went to Thailand in January, no special treatment, just did a power clean and it was ok

We also use it in our jv3, which we just use for banners
