I have a favorite font manager Gray its called a book.
All out font are printed in the book, it makes it easy for customers to select a style of font for their signs. I keep all the fonts on a CD except for the ones we like and the ones we use alot. If a customer wants a particular font I install it do the job and then delete it. I keep notes with customer records about what fonts we have used for future reference. I had so many fonts on the machine at one time it ran really slowly and showing customers fonts on the machine was a nightmare, at least with the book it is fairly easy and quick to scan through.
When all the fonts were on the machine and we were looking for a font to do a job we rarely got out of the "B"s before we said right that one will do. Now there seems to be a bit more variety.

Good one Martin, what is the web site for "Book Font Manager", can I download a free trial?
How does it handle installing new fonts and viewing them, can fonts be edited or do a search of similar and duplicate fonts?
:) :) :)

I dont think there is a web site Gray, I got my copy from a well known Stationary Store.
Installing fonts is quite difficult and viewing them does sometimes require extra hardware ( pair of glasses, magnifying glass).
Editing them also requires extra hardware, I use a special tool for this. It is round, about 8" in length ( I'm going to regret that bit) and has a graphite centre. Duplicating them requires good hand eye co-ordination.

I decided to buy MyFonts, I really like it and would recommend it, now, if it would just read Signlab fonts!
