Depth of tide board spec reccomendations

Hi All,

Has anyone produced these before. They are the boards you see on the banks with measurements on to measure the tide depth as it comes in.

I was think allupanel with vinyl lettering graphics,
Being located near the water I have done hundreds of boat names over the years using oracal 551with no problems.
But this will be submerged under water a lot of the time

Client is suggesting possible GRP substrate, but I would have though a descent grade ACM would do the job maybe using a cast vinyl ?

Any thoughts :?:

From my photo memory, I think these are cast iron signs.

I don't see a reason why they cannot me made from a different material apart from endurance.

Normally made from GRP with encapsulated graphic. ACM will have shorter lifespan, water will ingress between the aluminium & plastic core.

Thank you Guys, most helpful.

I did suspect the ACM might fail eventually in the salt water.

I don't think I've made a sign on GRP for about 12 years.
