Yes I think we paid £1200 for a "used" one, although it looks like new.

Paid for itself many times over already

How do you get this to site David?
Would need to go in a short wheelbase transporter if we get one but would rather have a tower than a ladder

That’s a great buy, shame it’s not got adjustable feet

How does that work then ? First thing you do on plasma course level the base - don't think we have ever put tower up on perfectly level floor - just checked out price of our tower which is a lewis tower 8ft x 2ft x7.7m working height £1154 plus vat I'm sure there's better but works for us

Didn't spot the non adjustable feet :bangshead: you'd assume that's a standard for obvious reasons.

As Colin said a course is really good it's surprising what you don't know but I'd go on a PASMA course (I hate the sight of blood ) I can recommend Kentec Training for those in the south east

David
think you'll find it can be adjusted as states "Versatile height adjustment: 0.26m (10.25 in) stepped height adjustment" maybe wrong but i would take that to be for uneven surfaces

Looking at the pictures, the casters are different to our tower, which have the threaded pole, turn the adjuster above the castor to level it.

I'd would expect it to have some adjustment to level the tower.

Homebase have a good set that I have used. It is not quite as high at only 5.8m but it is cheaper at £1017 Inc vat for all three packs

You are right. The castors are not height adjustable. They are removable but that is not too helpful.
In saying that I have used one several times all for installs inside and found it very good.

Re: Cheap Youngman Tower, sold by Costco

For anyone who has never used a tower you need one that has infinitely adjustable feet, to have one leg a few mm light when you are working at height is a very disconcerting feeling as the whole tower will wobble with every movement - stepped adjustment is not good enough in my view - No predictive text errors this time John

Fair play, every time I have used a tower I’ve needed to adjust the feet, be good if there was one available for this money with adjustable feet
