We looked at them, but found some glare/reflection issues oddly, so went with the LG 34" ultra wide flat monitor with secondary 24" IPS (calibrated to match) positioned to the side.

The LG monitor is great - huge display area allowing tool bars etc to be locked to screen side with a large work space. Lovely display quality with 99% sRGB gamut and works well with the Nvidia Quadro GPU allowing Adobe CC to take advantage of GPU performance.

Thanks Colin.

I have a chance to grab 34-inch Acer at half price. Still not cheap, so I'm not sure. Designing on a curved art-board? I'm not sure it will work. I haven't tried it personally, hence asking if someone actually uses it.

The 34" monitors are great - we just didn't like the shiny curved version!, flat screen was better we felt, crisper images.

Yup price was also a factor when we upgraded - curved added £200+ to the price.

I do feel at monitor sizes, even the 34" / 38" ultra wide's curved screens have little benefit to offer over a flat panel.

No experience of them but been using two monitors side by side for several years. Allows for that super-wide desktop without having to look around the screen as say you can refer to the email in one screen / web search and work on the job in another...or drag from one to the other.

Tried a large single screen and it didn't work as too much looking around the screen instead of AT it.

Curved screens sort of work at 50" plus in a house with a large viewing distance... can't see the point 2-3 feet away from it.

Yeah,

I use a Acer 34 ultrawide curved something (no idea the model of it, it's 3440x1440px or something along those lines)
I think it's great to be honest and quickly shifting windows to either side of the monitor is great, saves the hassle of the dual monitors.

The only downside I would say about these is if you have scroll bars at the sides of the monitors (due to the curve, it looks as if they disappear depending on the angle you're sitting to the monitor at)
