Recommended LED suppliers

Guys

I always like to support recommend suppliers, hence the reason I'm looking for a new LED supplier.

I want someone who is efficient, someone I can send a drawing and they can send me back a quote, template and the amount of LED needed.

I have been using a few people in the past who I believe are starting to slack hence the reason I would like someone new.

I know you guys are a trusted bunch and always offer a valued reply.

Many Thanks

James

http://www.sedna.lighting

Well impressed with the products and the service.

Some very nice modules with super wide lenses for even spread of light, flexistrips with 3yr warranty and high density rigid strips.

They do all sorts of lighting so LEDs are in the accent section

We buy our LED's via Paperlinx for SLOAN LED's.
Even though we have done a good amount of LED work over the years I am not going to pretend to be some sort of expert. however, what i have noticed is that anywhere i have tried saving on LED's in the past has always come back and stung me in some form, a year or two down the line.
brightness comparisons on what you THINK are "like for like" are VERY different. so you tend doubling up the amount to compensate and still not getting it just right, False economy... throw in the life and quality of the led and your really not saving much if anything..
anyway, i now try to only buy sloan or source letters containing sloan. once bitten and all that! :D

Paperlinx have their own in-house led specialist called Macer Bridges, really nice guy and knows his stuff. ide suggest a call to macer if you can as he will definitely keep you right. ive been on some of his free training days hosted around the UK too, which were really worth while.

Sloan has a mobile app. type in the hight of the letters, the stroke width, depth of return and it instantly tells you how many LEDs and what type is in the range best suits.

I know Applelec also use Sloan, not sure on if thats only sold combined with their manufacturers letters etc might be fore a call anyway.

Re: Recommended LED suppliers

Hi,

We use Sloans currently and like Robert said very efficient and super bright leds. Have not had any come backs yet using these. They come with 5 year guarentee for peace of mind but i have never had to return or complain so dont know how that will work 8).

Call 01827 263900 and ask for Frazer. Really nice guy and sends drawings with how many leds needed back quick.
