I blame the Mayans

For all the messed up clients who are coming in to my shop lately.

That is all - Returning to the wine now ;-)

So the world is about to end in less then three weeks time?

Just wondering, what plans everyone has to make the best of their final few days here on earth? I've saved a fortune by not having to buy any christmas presents this year :-?

Sorry to disapoint you guys but it's actually the 21st when the world is due to end so we're not out of the woods yet.

I actually dream't last night that I was standing on the Forth Road Bridge with Alison and we saw a fire in the sky. It turned into an asteroid and crashed into the sea in the distance and we could see a gigantic wave heading our way which would engulf us on the bridge. We held each other in one final embrace and waited for the end at which point I woke up. The dream was very vivid and can still remember it clearly now as I write this. It has since occured to me that if we had climbed the towers that support the suspension cables then we would have been able to climb above the height of the engulfing wave thus saving ourselves.

So next Friday I'm spending the day at the Forth road bridge just in case my premonition comes true :worry:

That's a true story that is :-?

Sadly we don't have Lance-Corporal Jack Jones (Clive Dunn) to calm all of us down!

Just read this post on FB from a friend of mine in Sydney.

"A bloke I know runs a company with about 150 employees. One of them asked for three days off this week in preparation for the end of times. He needed to pray alongside his fellow worshippers for salvation. Serious. No, Really. His leave wasn't granted even after some cajoling from the believer."

OMG!!!

Tell you what. As I'm 8 hours ahead of UK time I'll let you know if it's going to happen 'cos it's the 21st here first ;-)

We've got our Christmas do on Friday night, so it will probably be after that. I reckon
you'll need sandwiches.

I've just read this in this morning's paper.

''Dec 21, 2012 sees the end of the 13th and final baktun in the 5,125-year Maya Long Calendar and, according to some, the world will end at 11.12am GMT, the time of the summer Solstice. That will be just before sunrise in Tikal. Those in the UK will have time for breakfast.''

Better have your curry tonight John, and Phil don't bother with the sandwiches for lunch.
Oh and a survey during the summer said that 12% of Americans were worried - that's an awful lot of people.
