no? as it not a permanant change, but then again would a spray job be?
probably more important, should an insurance company should be informed?

I asked my insurance co when i renewed and if i recall right, they simply said "no, we'll treat them as graphics" and made a note on my file that temp colour changes may be used. they didn't seem to think that the dvla would be in need of notification either.

When I did the KPMF wrapping course a few years ago I was told that DVLA treated it as a temporary change and they did not need to be informed, don't know if the regulations have changed at all since. Never really thought about the insurance aspect though. Would probably be best to ring them and let them know so they can't try and get out of any claim should something happen. Better safe than sorry.

Your insurance company should be notified, if only from a value aspect. It's the same as adding a couple of grandsworth of accessories.

Occasionally some of my clients come unstuck with this in that they will only pay to replace a reasonable amount for graphics unless they have been notified, and increased premiums by an appropriate amount.

It's only fair, after all, they are carrying a bigger risk.
