Where to get an up-to-date Pantone Book ?

Morning everyone. Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Firstly we've been asked to produce a glass sign with a corporate logo to the rear. The colour they have specified is PMS7447c ...... now we've got numerous Pantone books but none of them go as high as this number so fingers crossed we can match it ........ but it's now also made us think it's high time we bought some up-to-date Pantone books.

We quite like the ones that have the 'colour chips' so that we can attach the chips to the job.

Could anyone point us in the right direction of maybe the best place to get a new version. Cheers. :D

Adrian,

We just bought our latest one from Apollo inks 0151 922 5665

It doesn't have the colour chips but it comes in two separate books - coated and uncoated.............it was about £70 if memory serves

I think there has been a couple of threads on here so it might be worth doing a search............I seem to recall they were available on ebay aswell

Ah thanks Glenn I will give them a call.

I did do a search on EBay but must admit thought they were a bit pricey considering they were on there ..... i'll do a search on the boards too.

Its a pantone book with the pantone colour on the left and on the right the colour in the closet possible CYMK match using the offset inks or whatever press was used to create the book.

It's good to show customers certain colours aren't possible to hit using a four colour process.

Just been 'down the road' to another sign company who had one of these 'Bridge Books' and I see what you mean, very helpful indeed !!

I'll get on the case and get one sorted. :D
