Sorry Darryl but I don’t know of a plastic ‘A’ board.
If I have a customer that wants a plastic pavement sign I steer them towards a ‘Eurasign’ with the swing panel.

Make one. 2 panels (10mm komacel or similar) hinged at top, chain on the back to stop the panels spreading. Easy peasy. You could get 2 4footx2foot a boards from 1 8x4 sheet. Cutting a scoop out at the bottom to simulate legs will help with stability on uneven surfaces.

a boards

Whats 'Komacel'?

Is it similar to Foamalux sheet?
Good idea about DIY version but how would you fix the hinges?
Does the board accept screws(board at 10mm)or could they be reliably bonded?

I think i may be looking for pvc panel to fit vinyl to and a plastic base to give it a little stability. i'v e noted the 'breezer' panel in the Grafytyp brochure(!) and i may be looking for something similar in design.

Darryl I have read somewhere of someone heat bending foam board to make an A board but for the life of me can't remember where I read it, maybe you could have a go, I'm sure it was something along the lines of clamping a sheet half over a table heating the edge with heat gun and bending it, hold on was it Rob that once did this?

a frame in plastic

use 18mm 'excel' from amari plastice, cut as previously sugested & use plastic hinges with either screws or 3M 'uhb' tape.

can be painted, sprayed, left & grafixed up, edges can be covered with edging from 'stockframes' for tidy job

hope this helps
