Not done it myself but try going to File/Import and Export and taking it from there. You should be able to save as a file and re-import I guess onto your new computer.

Worth a try

Hi Derek

Do search for "favorites" and you will see a few folders come up, one of those will be fill of your favorites (links) Simply copy this entire folder to the new laptop and replace with the one there, it will keep all your sub folders (if you have any) as it was before.

Cheers

if you use firefox, you can save the file to desktop, go into tools>options. and it's somewhere in there!

For future ref you can use import/export to back them up along with cookies (chocolate hobnobs of course) :)

Or if you can't get ie to start then find the folder and copy that, as mentioned above.

I use a web based 'bookmark/favorites' as I use a couple of PC's and a laptop, makes life much easier as all the favorites are accessible from the various different machines.

http://www.netvibes.com/

Its a free service, and also has a host of other services available.

Again, with this you need to export out from your normal browser, and save the file by changing the default location so that you can find it.

Once thats done, just import into netvibes.

I still backup the favorites from netvibes now and again by exporting the file and keeping a local copy.

So far, i've never had a problem, been using it for about year and half now.

Hope that helps.
