Phil, can that compare with the bungles made by the US forces throughout the war?
In the early stages it seemed that they were more of a danger to themselves that Sadaam's forces were.

More of a danger to us as well Gray.

Not for the first time we were losing more people from friendly fire than from the enemy (:) (:) (:)

True dit :- British army in the gulf were recently told, "If you hear an aircraft duck it could be the effin' yanks"
also it appears the US military were only given aircraft and military vehicle recognition instruction of British equipment 2 weeks before the start of the war.
Favourite British army description of the US military "All the gear but NO idea"

As an ex soldier with friends who served in the first gulf conflict (it is only a war when the monarchy declare war) the idea of painting an upside down V on the vehicles was to stop freindly fire from the yanks. Big problem How do you see these 2 miles away travelling at 2000mph.

Next time i will tender for dayglo vinyls on all the wagons, will that help our yank `friends`

anyone up for it, fitting vinyl in the desert??? New course at the sign school???

No Tex, you can have that job to yourself, but you will need buckets of vinyl lube!

How is Portsmouth? it's a while since I've been there!

Andy, we're in Tasmania, way down south, so it's not so hot here.
Heck, southsea must be getting rough, when i was a kid it was safe, my Mum would leave leave me with some pennies for the arcade on South Parade pier and know I was OK.

I still have a cousin who lives in Southsea, I stay with her when I've over there.
What a great walk it is from Clarence Pier along the foreshore now, they've done it up nice!

Glad they caught the murderers.
