Whats this got to do with Sign Making Software ?

I do something along the same lines as Adrian except instead of using a sanding block I use a smooth File, you seem to get a much better edge this way than by using a scalpal and trimming.

Steve I can't understand why you are looking for the correct font for "L" reg motors, if you are going to edit the first "L" to make it look more like a "V" then it will be illegal anyway. Why not just use a block font such as ariel or helvetica.

Oreo as with most things we are miles behind the States, we have an act called the Disability Discrimination Act, for signage it is based around your ADA. Unfortunatly hot much is being done at the moment as far as signage is concerned as it will hot be enforced untill 2004.

If I have read it correctly Paul yes it is a parts van but it is also a defender. I did some magnetics for a Limmo recently, 2.5mtrs long by 280mm deep. The guy also wanted one on the bonnet, good job we tried a bit of scrap magnetic first because the bonnet on a Limmo is aluminium to.

Signwriting is certainly not dead in Fife, there are areas in Fife where the council will give you a grant towards your signage if it is painted. There are other areas where they will only allow painted signs. Apparently its all to do with preserving Fifes heratige.

We have never done this as I believe there are all sorts of problems with copyright, most clipart used by sign companies is royalty free so there is no problems.
If we cant find what we want we draw it, scan & edit it. This way you know your customer has something unique.
