i am presuming you are running a PC60/600 so not sure on the driver screen you will get, but on mind for the rockhopper you can colour map spot colours e.g Choose green to print gold etc

your best bet is 24 hrs give or take a little however can depend on type of print full colour photo print as long as you can labels or wording you can get away with leaving a shorter time. Have Rocky 38 myself eco-sol+ inks have actually laminated after an hour with no adverse effects.

The summa running through Flexi should measure across and then twice the length of the cross measurement. you can use the the show me toggle to see if what you are cutting will fit and i believe that it then alters the shown measurement, not 100% on that though. if it is not scanning for length then...

Have a Rocky 38 past 2 months now have managed to source and play with profiles to get fairly good results, Grafityp have profiles for rocky 38 on certain medias subject to rip, and i know Dorotape are having there range profiled. What rip, software and media are you using.

i'm sure that if you adjust the overcut you can eliminate the barb, if you use the PC program it is just a case of opening the summa program and slightly increase the overcut. This allows the plotter to slightly overcut at intersection points corners joints on curves etc.

surely static cling will ruck up when they right on it, i would probly print to a second bit of vinyl and lay up on to the static cling. You could try something like dry wipe board vinyl etc aint sur where you can gat it from though

i brought my summa D60 through Harry excellant deal came with stand in price in the end it wasn't so much the cost of plotter but the bill from British Telecom that had me worried. But seriously Harry is the top dog when it comes to plotters and blades and all the free advice you can handle

Check earlier posts this as arose before i think it was a knife problem, do you run the summa software on your computer or alter from the lcd panels. It is far better controling from computer and you can see exactly what is on & off. But i would check knife rotation is ok first

an extra point to think about, having these panels on stand offs will greatly increase panel blow outs from either side, may be an idea to skin the frames internally with a 1/4 inch ply etc.

I am using texiprint 95 from the states, have tried plain paper, photo paper and paper from listawood, inks don't seem to dry. On the Texiprint 95 the paper is coated with a form of dry powder to absorb ink, dries totally instant out of printer.

i have used Krylon or Plasti coat in the past with no problems i find it helps if you roughen the surface with a scotch brite pad etc on the parts that you want to coat helps, never had any come off yet. Mainly use laquer though to protech thermal prints.
