They can't, and they won't.

The regulation doesn't apply to the self employed.

Hi Matt. Difficult one. As you know I am in the position where I get to be on both sides of the equation. As graphics fitters we are sometimes let down by our customers. It's annoying but something we put up with. I've never charged anyone yet, but then we've usually got something else we can be get...

I quite liked the Allegro. :D

As for the Princess, well, yes, it wasn't the prettiest car in the world, but they had a lot of redeeming features. Like enough room in the back for a threesome. :P

Great work, isnt weeding it a pain though Peter? I used to have a bit of software called Photocut which would do that. It was DOS though, so no chance of getting it working today. The image was made up of lines of varying thickness, a bit like the old 405 line black and white television sets. That ...

My wife has a business account with Alliance and Leicester and gets at least one call per week trying to sell her something. If I happen to answer the phone they are left in no doubts about my opinion of them.

I've said it before - beware of building societies pretending to be banks.

I don't think you need software, it sounds like a more basic paperwork problem. The majority of our work is repeat, so we have to be able to retrieve information quickly and accurately. All it takes is a job sheet with all the information on it, made out for each job. In your filing cabinet have a f...

Morning Matt. :)

From our experience I don't think Avery 800 would be up to it.

For serious compound curves like mirrors etc, I would even worry about Avery 900 and would probably prefer to use a proper wrapping material.

I occasionally get asked why something costs what it does and, to avoid antagonising a potential customer, I explain that it is the quality of materials and the time it takes us to do the job properly. So, in your case, to avoid losing a potential sale, I'd reply that the price is justified by the a...
