You could try Sydney Beaumont (Leeds) 0113 2458729 they have a 5 /7 year silver vinyl which is nearer matt than gloss. The reference number is 9794 which has a matching Ral number of 9006.

Hi, you could try a clear lacquer over the areas where the graphics are going. I sometimes use a lacquer from Halfords in spray can form which dries in minutes £6 a can.

Signwriter, I think what you're referring to is something called Part P. As Simon says it's new rules for people doing major electrical work in dwellings in England and Wales. Information on the requirements for Part P can be found on IEE sites.

Hi John, I would try an electrical supplier where you might get clamps that hammer fit on to the edges, otherwise a piece of unistrut clamped at both sides if it's a heavy sign. I'm not an expert on unistrut but an elec. supplier should put you right.

LJ, the streaks are there using a thumb or a new squeegee to apply vinyl. It's obviously parts that haven't had enough pressure but they seem to remain even with a good hard rub with the squeegee. Probably a silly question, what would happen if two pieces of vinyl were butted together without an overlap and then laminated in one piece. Would the seam come apart as expected through time, or would the laminate hold it in place as it shrinks as well.
