Hi Martyn Whilst I have no experience of your brand I bought a laminator second hand off this site moved it 100 miles and set it up at which point it was moved around from time to time without issue, then sold it on to a pal so another 75 mile move and it has been fine since again whilst being moved...

Some light boxes are front loaders ie where you cant slide in either side the panels goes up and in at about 30 degrees then push back and hangs from the top on a hanging strip.

I'm realising that's how it works now but previous to Windows 8 you could assign a different flag for eps regardless of the programme that opened the file - hence that's what I wanted to do now in 10 - but I guess your saying that's not possible now?

Hey Rich you misunderstand mate :smiles:

It's not how the file opens ie: which programme opens the file

it's showing the same picture tile for eps files as it does for flexi so hard at a glance to differentiate between them when looking in a folder with both file types

When its just me an the lad all i use was a dry wipe board with a couple of columns "in progress" work and "pending" with notes next to each as appropriate and updated as required every so often - worked for us

I would measure from the the line level with the bottom of the door - measuring from the ground cannot work because as soon as you add or subtract weight the van would sit differently relative to the ground so if doing a fleet they could all be marginally different. Just my twopenneth.

Hi Ewan - I would do it your way cut the curve on the 610 lay it on as a guide for your knifeless tape - only thing to add cut the guide piece in removable vinyl :D

Pretty much as David said we did one only last week, print to clear using a standard profile for clear we then laminated in the same clear for protection and overlaid on opal white acrylic panel - silvering/squeegee marks were present but wont last.

Tim as far as I know its not possible to own a colour but it is possible to trademark it when linked to a product. The footnote of the link above sais The trademark applies to milk chocolate bars and drinks only. Same with dayglo its been arounf longer than dynorod but you cant use it in conjunction...

we've done a few of these recently, occasionally wet mostly dry, printed on our roland versacaam with ecosol max inks and laminated - if in a rush we gas out only one hour and apply - no come backs and either way goes down a dream so im thinking its application technique rather than the process - so...

To be mounted fairly high up in a road that is very wind tunnel prone

dont think its the blend just the output colour of the yellow, straight from flexi to my roland would give similar results so I always import eps to signlab and set rvw colours before printing just work out whatver works for your setup

Dan ive not used that brand but id say it will disappear - tell the client its should start to go in the next week or so and give yourself some time

I use graphityp and other etch air release and only minimal marks if any but I use a felt out of preference

well in x3 after hitting publish to PDF a box pops up with publish to PDf settings in the objects tab move the slider toward the low end for jpeg quality and i think you will see a difference in the file size without any great effect for the person opening the file to view.

Hi All

Customer has supplied a reasonable jpeg logo with a white background that imports well into all my different sign packages.

Trouble is when I export to versaworks this particular logo just shows as a black square.

Whats occuring clever people?

my guess is the chap you sub too has only one laminator (like me) so changing to white and back to clear can be a pain but I just laminate reverse prints to clear with white using wet app on the workbench - takes a day to dry but no problem.

David your idea should work - remove the letters and place an accurately cut oblong template over the holes ensuring the bottom or top of the template are level as you will need to use this same edge to check the template is level in the next room. I would be tempted to use apptape or paint mask bot...

probably you used two different vinyls one thinner than the other hence with the same pressure settings its possible for the cutter to go through the backing of one product and not the other :(
