We had this problem with our C5200 a few years back, we went through several fuser units, and finally put it down to a a faulty thermostat. You can clean the unit after its cooled down, providing none of the rubber roller has come off in the process. We are now on our 4th Oki printer, the C5600, thi...

DTG is supposed to be a nightmare with printers clogging up if not used all the time as far as I can make out and many don't deliver what they promise. Have a look at the DTG printing forums and you will see what I mean a lot of unhappy peeps by the look of it Yeah, I have been reading a lot on t-s...

the design could still be felt as though it was a sticker attatched to the shirt. i have tried all if not most and thats the level of it no better than sticking a sticker on, it does have limited uses and the clear mat is the better but a poor second place to other methods imo. so i am giving dye s...

No. No no no. The shirt must be turned inside out. You can just imagine what happens when you stick 150-200c iron to vinyl :D Well this is what concerned me ! :-? We have used T-shirt vinyl from Xpres, with great results, which can be ironed over no problem. We are now looking for a more elaborate ...

There is a rumor in the industry that this is just the first step in a long line of legislation that the government is coming up with in the next few years. The small number plate manufacturer is on a losing battle. First of all they virtually made it impossible for him to supply mail order, we have...

This will be really interesting ! Somehow, I can't see every superbike, that has had millions spent making it streamlined and drag effecient with a standard UK legal 9x7 plate on it ! What about the makers of chrome frames that nearly every Harley or custom bike has on, are the manufacturers of thos...

Xpres ?

We have just managed to get hold of a second hand heat press for shirt printing. We are now looking for suppliers of material to go with it, ie. for cutting and laminating onto t-shirts. We have phoned the main ones, Victory, The magic touch, and Xpres. and got some samples inc. the Flock material. ...

I've seen these plates and can't quite work out how they are made.

They appear to be made from a PVC material with the letters printed.
They can be bent/rolled almost like a piece of paper.

Someone must know :(

laying vinyl advice please for motocross bikes?

Anyone have any advice on laying vinyl onto a race bike fairing etc ? Said I'd do it for friend, I knew it would'nt be an easy one with all the holes and curves for side casings, rad vents etc. Just had a quick go and............... :( I'm heating up the vinyl to try and curve it round the fairings ...

Thanks Joe
but I'm sure we have tried the vinyl stuff before.
It was quite hard to weed and didn't really give good adhesive results.
It was also difficult with small designs especially when you had more than
one colour.

I will ring Grafityp though and see what they recommend.

T-shirts - printing - Equipment & advice?

Can anyone direct me toward any equipment for the above ? Also if anyone has any advice as to which way to go it would be greatly apreciated :) We are just looking at adding maybe another string to our bow. We already have a PC60 which we use but, I believe this will probably be too expensive to use...

Paul, not sure if this reply was meant for the above post. "vinyl for laser printing" But, I am not searching for new, or indeed different material, but the same material that is supplied in suitable sizes for our machine. ie not 1220mmx100mtr rolls, which would last us forever, but something around...

Thanks guys.

Have already spoken to Grafityp but they will only supply a 1220mm x 100mtr roll which would last us approx 10 yrs !

Have sent The magic Touch an email but it looks as though they too only supply A3 or A4 sheets.

Thanks anyway, I will keep searching !

Vinyl for laser printing

Does anyone know of a supplier for a clear adhesive vinyl that is suitable for an OKI colour laser printer

The material will be printed in reverse and laminated with acrylic

The material does exist, but just need someone to supply different options on sizes and prices.

Anyone ??

Thanks Mike, I think I've got crossed wires somewhere.
Thought it was a vinyl print/cut machine like the Roland but with
inks instead of ribbons. It was advertised and the seller told me it would also cut, but obviously paper and not vinyl.
Thanks again

Is anyone familiar with this Printer/plotter ?
It's a 24" machine
How would it compare to my Roland PC60 which it would be replacing ?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for the replies guys, but believe me I seem to have covered most of what you recommend. Most of the print is NOT in thin lines, either vertical or horizontal, just block mainly. I have repaired literally hundreds of ribbons, thats not the problem, its the cost of re-doing the whole print agai...

Hi, it's my first time on here, great site and very informative ! Glad I managed to find it. I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone that could help me with my PC60 Colorcamm. I purchased it around 18mths ago second-hand with very little use. Within the first 3 months I replaced the head and had it...
