then i think the gerber edge is dead? when metallics, fluorescents are available in ink form, i would never ditch the edge as mine makes over 2k a month in machine labels, printing on destruct vinyl, reverse printed flood coated labels, safety signs the list goes on, but for vehicle graphics/banner...

Print a solid band of colbalt blue on white about 2 metres
this is a good test to see if the print head has blown any pixels

we buy white screw cap holders in 2 sizes from Winzer Wurth by the 1000's and spray with Plasticote (available from most diy chains £3/4 a tin) comes in loads of colours including Burgundy takes no time at all to dry

did one just before xmas for a house builder i suggested to him that the scaffolders build a frame then we cable tied the banner to it through the eyelets worked fine and the scaffolders didn't charge him as they were erecting all the other scaffold..............

Yes i do, but i think the Guys at B&P have made a few mods this machine can be purchased just under £20k but i believe the wider width will generate more income especially on display and pos jobs which the versa camm fails - if i get this job at least half outlay of the machine will be recouped

cut on a cnc router, or laser cut but looking at there website it looks like cnc, we could easily cut these on our machine, would take about 3 minutes

price for the job in the photo was £1100 plus vat that included the barn doors and a few legal bits, as Rising states you must tension the curtains nice and tight and equally, new curtains are fine this one was, but older ones need a lot of cleaning and preping so charge more

for general advertising, and use on there office pc this is all they need
i tell the customers that the vector files are special signmaking files and

get your signmaker to send signlab to acrobat (will need to purchase acrobat writer) and supply client with pdf files we do it every day easy.. and pdf reader is a free download so most customers have it already or can get it.

we use birch faced plyboard and we caulk the edges then paint
as you do and have no problems (dulux weathershield)

birch faced ply has all the knots taken out and is very smooth and exterior graded

i can print from 1 - 1000+ on our gerber edge
if you give me no of colours and size i will work out a price,
if you want them backed with white that counts as a colour

you can supply artwork from corel, signlab 5 or 6 or omega or ai/eps format

I believe they were also branded Citizan Printiva i had one about 6 years ago the cartridges were about £4 each then, same format as colour camm but when i tried a colour camm cartridge the temperature settings were different and the print was crap. i get to work at 8.00am and work until 6pm (Mon- Sat) and come back about 2 evenings a week 8pm - late.....
i could employ another person but School fees are a killer so i do the
extra to pay the fees (approx £200 per week)
Sundays are family time....
