Plain white and fluorescent colours will glow under UV light.

* Actually it may be reflective white - been a while since we've done this!

We oftern use Velcro or Dual Lock for internal applications like this.
Self adhesive version but also stapled. Gives you the chance to reposition as well.
as long as they're not likely to be nicked though!

high level sizing

If I had to size up the building in Derek's pic I would measure the size of a stone and the width of one of the windows at ground level and just add them up.
Some buildings aren't as easy as this one though.

Thanks George.
Ideally we'd print direct to substrate, but we can always mount a vinyl if it's not a very good surface.

Does anyone know where we can get large foamex sheets?

Does anyone know where we can get sheets of 3mm or 5mm Foamex at 3.4m or 4m long?

The biggest we can find is 3050mm but our client is telling us that another company can get them bigger sheets :-?

I know that Dibond is available no one seems to have foam PVC at this size.

Dropbox for me too. It works really well between Mac and PC. We've signed up for 50gb space which I'm sure was only about £10 per month.
Clients use it for sending us large files also.

Thanks for your reply Jason but they want a 3mm clear border around each sticker.
Also, we need to print registration marks for the vinyl cutter which would be covered if we laminated white over the back.

HP Latex printing Question?

We've got a short run of window stickers which we were thinking about printing on our HP latex printer, in reverse on clear self adhesive vinyl, contour cutting and then screenprinting a white background.

Has anyone tried screenprinting (vinyl ink) onto a latex print?

Get a couple of days Excel training David, you should be able to find something fairly reasonable near you. You won't regret it as it's a powerful, yet simple, tool once you understand how it works. I'm no expert though so I got a friend who works with it every day to set up the calculators as I wan...

Clarity

We've got 5 users on Clarity and it works well for us. We've never managed to set up the quotation wizards as they are just too complicated and intricate. I think they've tried to accommodate every permutation that's been thrown at them and it's just gets confusing. I've stuck with my own Excel work...

Yes we tend to get patches that run the length of the print, particularly on dark colours, although there's no consistency as to where these appear. We mainly print on LG Vizuon vinyl because we like working with it and we tend to switch to one of the Rolands rather than persevere with the HP which ...

We've had ours about 6 months now and our guys don't really like it. Print quality is great but we struggle to get the prints dry. Also the size of prints vary as much as 8mm on a 2500mm length which rules it out for many jobs. I'm pretty sure this is down to the materials we have tried and we need ...

Panels too large to press!

We've been asked to print some cafe screen barriers which the client wants black canvas with a white image. It would be acrylic canvas, the type used for awnings and canopies. They're too big for the garment press and we don't have curing facilities to screenprint them. I was thinking of cutting whi...
