We have done quite a few of these and there is no set way of doing them, weve used glass with vinyls on the reverse, frosted glass with vinyl on the front, cast acrylic flame polised edges vinyls on reverse cut acrylic or brass letters mounted on the front. thanks for the advice the problem was more to do with the room available for the lighting. It was going to have to be mounted between a double elipse, changed the design slightly, now have the room to look at fluorescent.

Hi weve done this sort of thing in corian before, but it is pricey, also made moulds in reverse and had them cast in concrete, if these ideas appeal, get back to me and we could work something out.

we used to cut quite alot at one time using a guillotine, gave quite a clean cut.
