I think you can save the file but change the suffix. ie. if the file they have sent you ends in .dat (as they often do when sent from a MAC) then save at as an .eps (or whatever it is meant to be)

That usually works for me.

There are no end of sign companies that still think doing a 'design' is using Brush Script instead of Helvetica. And I love it when a customer turns you down for being 'too expensive' and then you see their vehicle driving round a few months later with an absolute travesty of a livery on it - usuall...

It cut's ok but tears easily so be careful when weeding. Generally costs about £5 or £6 a metre.

You can actually try FlexiSign 'live' on the internet. It's slow but it works. Don't ask me how they do it.

Also, isn't it illegal to register for VAT unless if you are above the threshold?

Yes, I have used SignLab, both V5 and the hideous new E6. I don't doubt it can do pretty much everything Flexisign can, just that Flexi does it quicker and easier. The lack of multiple open documents in SignLab is unforgiveable in my opinion. Previous versions of Flexi (up to the new 32bit V6 onward...

If you want something better then upgrade to FlexiSign 6 which is vastly superior to Signlab in almost every respect.

Going to Signlab will feel like a step down after Flexi.

That's a decent price. But you could do with an extra 256mb ram and it has onboard graphics which won't get the best from the 17" TFT.

I would use a different font for some of the text, maybe the "for hair and beauty" bit.

I think you need to weld the letters on "Axis" as well as the black outline has caused a small glitch where the letters overlap.

I mean multiple windows so I can just 'ctrl-tab' between them.

It's true to say I've only 'dabbled' with SignLab but it just seems clunky to me. Even ff you just have a dabble with FlexSign I'm sure you'll find you can achieve the same results much quicker.

I don't think Signlab comes close to FlexiSign. Especially V6.5 upwards.

Is it just me or can you only have one file open at a time in SL?
