our machine is not used enough so we stick to the carts. if you buy your materials mainly from one supplier then they are the one to ask about profiling, if they help you out then i would advise you to stick with them as it would normally cost a lot of money to pay someone to come & do it for you.

I use Flexi & in my opinion you will still have to have Flex profiled by an expert as we did. If you ask your material supplier they may send someone to do it for you, as ours did. since then Flexi prints spot on every time.

You need to use a Cast vinyl & the same cast clear lam. there are several makes around but i prefer Graphityp's wrapping material as it hasn't let me down as yet.
would also recommend going on a course to learn properly as we did. it was well worth it.
is that any help?

We didn't have to pay for the venue as well as breakfast, as the Hotel were grateful for the increased sales of fry ups.

My instructors on the wrapping course that we went on said they only have to do the roof if the van is based in a large city or town where there are a lot of multi story office blocks.

My home town is classed as a country town so wouldn't bother unless instructed by customer.

I personally think these are too good to be true. No seams down the curtains (if they are curtains) or no pop rivets down or across the ally panels (if they are box trailers)

Hi Bart, Just spent the afternoon stripping my Rocky one to try & find out why there wasn't any magenta coming through, found the pipe in the pump had split in two. so have replaced it i think all is well now.

As Peter says there are firms out there that can print them far cheaper that we can (approx £35) because that is all they do, they don't make fascia signs, or letter vehicles or wrap vehicles.........all they do is printed banners or lettered banners. They are geared up only for that purpose so they...

curved part to rest your knee on, cuts fine with heavy duty blade, one man or women operation over a 10 x 5' sheet.

Couldn't get the one for the edge of bench even though the bench is 20' x 6' as there is only 2' walk around space between bench & wall.

It was our 1st wrap after being on the wrapping course.

Just in case you cannot make out what is on the roof, it is a high res photo of flowers with the customers logo in opposing corners called "Garden Angels"

I find that the only fine lines i get with my Rocky 62" is with the magenta so i have to do a power wash 2 or 3 times before a session which seems to cure it till next time i print which could be 2 0r 3 days later.

just remember, if it is a waterbased adhesive, the glue may go milky for a while, and it will not have full adhesion for a day or two. depending on your weather.

All the best.... I'd still do it dry tho :wink:

Thinners fetches the adhesive off along with a cheap plastic squeggee.

My rockhopper 1 sometimes prints like that in 720 but if i do a power wash, maybe 2 or 3 times then it prints beautifully.
This is maybe not the answer to your problem but i would try it.

Hi l j , the experts (instructors) reckon 2 hrs for a smart car with, i think 3 of them doing it.

They reckon biggest job they had was i think 40 cars in 3 days, working 24 hrs till finished. Unbelievable i know, but man are they fast.

you need to tape the poster down to your work table (just touching the edge of poster) so that it is perfectly flat & won't move............then offer the oversize section of clear over the top (still with the backing paper on).............then hinge it at one end with masking tape.................
