Registration is the issue here, plus you really need to allow the banner to fully dry before printing the second side. We print 2 pieces of material, and just back them together. We do exactly the same, Chris. The registration problem is something that wakes me up in a cold sweat in the middle of t...

If you are looking to span that sort of distance, you will need to use PVC Mesh & it will need heavy reinforcing. The safest way to install is to use a heavy duty galvanised steel cable (I would have thought at least 1 inch dia) with a tensioning bolt. Have the cable threaded through a sleeve at...

Material Quest..

Hi guys I've been set the task of tracking down a supplier for a specific material, without much luck. :( I need to locate a supplier of Contravision Vinyl, but the catch is that I need to find a version that is NOT self-adhesive. I've already tried a company called Flex Europa, but they are ...

I'm disappointed that the paint finish is not all it could have been, it will be worth us looking into it the cause. If you want to discuss it further, don't hesitate to give me a call.

cheers
Jamie

You can get PVC Material that has the smooth (laquered) finish on both sides. The opacity of the material really depends on the colour, Dark green, Navy, Black are good, Light greens, sky blue, yellow & red are very transparent & you will get shadowing when you view the banner from the rever...

There are different types of suction cups but I don't think its the answer. The little 50mm diam ones with the thumb screw are too weak in our opinion, the pvc panel will come away (IE fall off) within a few hours the larger one with the lever to apply suction, i feel they are too large & too he...

Clear PVC is pretty common to come by. It is used a lot in things such as caravan awning windows, vintage softtop car rear windows etc. & will take vinyl quite easily.

You usually pay a premium for this material as it is more expensive than normal bannergrade PVC.

Stitching is by far the best way to finish the edge of pvc banners.

It also makes the eyeleting a lot stronger.

they could be made in 2m wide x 1m 'modules' with a 30 or 40 kilo base... not the easiest items to carry about last thing at night. I suppose they could be classed as portable, if they are being used by a team of russian shot-putters. As mentioned above, go for the PVC option but do not put the wind...

I think its an occupational hazard, marek

We have had many weird & wonderful pieces of artwork in, having to match a graphic print to a piece of a ivory coloured wedding dress & a piece of chipboard (both for the same job no less) was the most bizarre.
