I agree with Shane your plotter sound like the interface has been blown
a dislodged cable can take it out, some times it will take the serial with it if they share the same circuit, Hybrid should sort you out.

I can't say too much working for Graphtec, I'm not sales I'm a techie :-)

the fc51-75 is a good reliable model and if the one on ebay is genuine with sign lab its a good buy.

Hi Alan,

Yes you are correct GPGL is the Command Language to be used on the Plotters, the plug in works well also allows you to create reg marks for contour cutting, if your Graphtec has an ARMs kit fitted.

Hi Another thing to watch out for the FC7000 Graphtec is set to be controlled by the software, and flexi sign changes the offset to pen and a fast speed,
again in the menu under background settings you can change it from program to manual.

Hi, Sounds like your Graphtec is set to GPGL command language,which is ok for the Graphtec windows driver and the Illustrator plugin, Flexisign needs it to be in HPGL, go into the menu on the Graphtec and look for command , go into there and change to HPGL, press emter to store the changes, cheers J...

Hi Nik, As has been suggested, use the pre feed set to 1m and it will run fine a speed of 30 - 40 is ok. I'm a steady eddy and like to run them at 20 - 30, with pre feed, never been to a sign shop that can weed faster than the plotter can cut :D but I'm sure there are some about :) cheers Jeff

Hi,

I would say 5mm is about the limit for the robo, depends on font and material etc, as everyone else suggested I'd print it,
If it is lifting the corners on letters, you may have too much force or the blade is not rotating correctly, (maybe clogged with vinyl)

we did have one CE3000 that was introduced to a cup of coffee, needless to say there was a big bang, so I can't recommend them as a coffee maker, shame it would be a nice option, especially as we engineers like a nice brew when a fixin.
