I haven't been on the site for a while, but I thought I would let everyone know about something that I discovered only this week. Once you have applied a vinyl into a deep recess, you should then heat the vinyl again at a temp of 80 degrees. This releases tension from the vinyl and stops it popping...

I'm gonna work my cost from your information,
i pay 85 euros for a cartridge = 880 ml for 340 euros, 880ml /20ml per meter = 44 meters, 340 euros/ 44 meters ink cost = 7.7 euros per linear meter
i think thats correct

cheers moonbrat, nice to know what the printed vinyl sells for in the uk but im working with a mate, he's knocking em out im making them and we r splitting the profit. so im trying to find out an accurate cost for the ink so im not ripping myself or him off

i think ive been pricing my cost of ink to low,
does anyone know what the maximum cost of eco-sol ink, high color on a piece of vinyl 75cm x100cm should cost using my versacamm

just done a bit of tweeking on the canvas material im quite impressed downloaded mac7 profile from dga lowered the ink 270 then pumped up the black alittle through the curves best i see, going to do some more tests, but i think i can see the light ! (hot)

hello Mark I use LFOT From grafitype slow 2 dry also but very heavy and good results, i found i got better results too if you slow the head speed and print in unidirectional only problem over here in spain the rolls are not a standard size for the versa i have to get a roll cut in half, maybe differ...

i bit cold andy but not so bad no snow like a lot of places in the north of spain, never gets that cold here, i also live next to a place called magalluf nearly at sea level makes it a bit warmer too but id rather be over in the uk better ambient at christmas than here, as most of the places r close...

like andy12 said that should do it ! but you'll need a tripod or you'll get movement and blur for-sure. press down gently on the shoot button trying not to move the camera on the tripod, exposure set to auto, flash off

on some digital cameras you have an option to lock the aperture, you focus on the bright part or the part that looks white to the normal eye, with the focal point in the view finder, zoomed in if possible, then press the lock aperture button, then centre the sign and click, i use a cannon 60d i also...

thanx mrsticker i did lower the ink to 130 the image is better almost perfect but the spots r there, do u think i should unroll it a few metres and try? i cant give out work like it is it is very speckled
