Why is my Versacamm blowing transistors? Help please?

hiya.. had another post here related to my mag/ylw head blowing f2 fuses.. I found a transistor was blown and replaced that. immedietely running a test print I blew the new transistor with a nice little pop and the smell of burning electronics. OK... just an update. I replaced the transistor that was faulty.. but it blows the new one almost immedietely once sub power is turned on and a test print is initiated.

any idea what could be blowing the transistors?

UPDATE: yes.. had one faulty transistor. got it from digi print part sc4131. should be here tomorrow, need some thermal paste as they are mounted to a heat sink but looks like a piece of cake to replace. had a faulty capacitor on there as well, which maplin stocked, one of the 50v 220u types. hopefu...

no prob mate. I clean my captops every couple days.. as with the regular head cleaning. they shoudl have lovely clean "new looking" rubber around them with no dried ink deposits at all. this is what seals you head.. so the cleaner they are, the less chance of particles/goop getting on your...

heya, your cap tops are the units that move up to seal the face of your printhead to keep it drying out. should replace every 6 months depending on your printer and usage. oh and thats probably just a glitch in the test print. Its too tidy to be a nozzle problem. a clean, or mayb the next test print...
