I know you've got it sorted, but if anyone else reads this, just thought i'd throw another name in the mix.

We use a company called Jaro Signs for a lot of our tray work (including stainless steel).

The cutting mat does have wear, although no 'nicks' or anything.

Yeah it is the 64 bit version apparently.

I don't actually need to connect to a plotter so the serial port bit isn't a problem. Is it not possible to just get the program running without the need of a plotter connection ?

As per the title ..... we've just upgraded the main PC in the studio and it's pre-loaded with Windows 7. The version of Omega that the old PC was running was V2.0.

Good morning all. This is all going to sound a bit vague, but hopefully someone may have an idea of something I can try as I seem to be drawing a bit of a blank at the moment ....... I loaded 'up' the Roland Color Rip that we got with the Grenadier and that worked a treat. Might see about using that more often as the colours were a mush better representation than the Troop Color Rip.

Oh dear that's not good. I must admit towards the 'end' I don't think we needed to call them out so probably wasn't aware of the problems.

The system we have is we have a tank and the plates are placed around
the outer edge. The acid is 'swirled' around the tank to create a mist.

This mist is what etches the plates etc.

we 'just' cut a negative template from vinyl and apply it to whatever we
want to etch. Then make sure the rest of the item is masked up, usually
again just using vinyl so that the acid doesn't touch any other surface.

'bung' it in the tank for however long and hey presto one etched plate.

well that's what they've sent, which if it's correct my fears have been confirmed. :( They apparently replaced a cutting strip a long while ago, but as they didn't get it on properly they pulled the strip off and just continued running the plotter :-? so unfortunately the plastic strip underneath is...

I think this plotter is a bit on the 'old side' as it doesn't have a USB port :( Would have been the perfect solution. It's a bronze door, so i think it's quite old.

I don't think we'll be able to match it exactly, but the sheet this
