i have some artwork as .cdl files, am i correct to say they are signlab files??
can someone with signlab convert these files into a format that i can read from corel 9?? maybe a .eps, .ai or a .cdr??

Not sure about the pc60 Dewi, I did wonder myself. The vinyl comes sprocketed @ 380mm wide. When I spoke to them they were happy to sell me in 5m rolls so give them a try and let us know if the pc60 is ok.

Do you edge them racer?

We use a similar product from Target Transfers 01376 326351.
It comes in sheets 450mm x 350mm £1.80 called Duracut and is very easy to weed, however small text is a problem as the backing isn't sticky.It is washable up to 90degs.

I used oracal for a while but the last few batches I've had have been really low tack and don't pick up the letters when applying!
Europoint say they only do one type.
Now use some cheap stuff from cherwell sign supplies, seems much better.

I've seen some decals being made by one of the big companies called Werx, they screen print the stickers then apply their own glue on a roller type thing. There is a company in Norfolk call Danger Uk who supply most of the Moto X world, I think...

i agree with John though, i'd leave off the prices as there are so many different A boards out there, customers sometimes price match against completely different boards.

I think the trick maybe to cut the inside length a mm or so over and cut file the others to match. leave one end until you have stuck the other 3 down then measure that gap(should be the same as the other end I know ...

Are you changing it to vectors? If so just do a corel trace in draw.
if not ,you just want the image draw a selection box around it and cut and paste to a new window.

I too was asked to quote for these type of stickers They wanted 200 with an 03 date, 200 with a 04 date, 200 with a 05 date and.......200 without any date and they were quoted £140!!!!!!! With the different screens etc how can it be worth it? I'd rather have the day off than work all day for that so...

Does anyone have a full colour pic of uPVC stuff.
ie. facsia's, guttering, drainpipes that sort of thing.

Hi,
I arranged mine through hsbc. Their's was the cheapest of a bunch I tried.

I don't think you have to bank with them to be insured.

Thanks again Mike & Paul, I'm not sure the customer will stretch to that sort of budget, you know what they are like! Anyway I'll probably put bits of your advice into the finished sign which I will post for all to see. They have asked for matt vinyl though, do they make this in 7-10 year? cheer...

Thanks all for the tips, Rob I did'nt mention that it is shaped like a shield! Do you feel that ply faced with di-bond will look crap? Pub sign

Hi all,
I have to do a hanging pub sign, the bracket is already there. Am I right in thinking that I should use ply and face it with veka or foam?
Any advice would be great.

Now I've got that other stuff off my chest, does anyone know where to get new curtains from. And before 'Mike' pipes up 'Rosebys' Iv'e already tried! I need the ones for the lorries. 7.5 tonn type.
