Not yet but they are soon making the Lus-200 ink available which will be 3m mcs warranted for wrapping. I have stretched some polymeric with the Lus-170 ink and it stretches really well.

I have been told by a reliable source that a new version of versaworks is being developed for release this year. It will have add on modular you can purchase that may be able to run other plotters, flat bed cutter and routers. If not Onxy or efi rips are both very good but not many profiles for them.

Mimaki already have a UV ink that is approved and certified by 3m for wrapping so they already have the technology. Sample prints all look great we do a lot of printing for fuel companies and the uv ink is very resistant to chemicals and spirits.

We was initially given a 6-8 weeks delivery which was not great but now it’s even worse..

We have been having issues with cut registration, random cut pressures also the bowing and also skewing of the cut. This is on our xr640, roland have replace nearly every part of the machine but we still have the same issues. Roland have told us no one else is having any issues.

A high tack vinyl might work metamark do a monomeric and a polymeric one. We use the monomeric version a lot.

Customer sent suitable artwork in the end. About half hour after it was printed they phoned and said they sent the wrong artwork lol so now waiting for new artwork to print again they only thought we should reprint them free of charge. As you guys can guess they have been invoiced lol

Over 90% of our work is trade but we do get word or publisher files sent from retail customers and they don't get why we can't print from them lol and jpeg is how this graphic designer sent the banner artwork and it's not even the correct size... bang head.

We have had this issue when ever there are transparencies in the file and saved as a PDF the only way around this that we found was to save as a eps then it's fine. I spoke to Roland about the issue and they knew about it but would not admit it was an issue or a fault with the new rip.

The only time we've had this is when it board is not placed in the middle of the Rollsroller creating uneven pressure we apply most boards at 4psi and correx at 2psi. Does your roller need adjusting?

We get a slightly better price from our supplier that's the only reason. As we mostly supply the sign trade our margins are tight and we buy in bulk to get discounted prices.

Hi David we don't buy direct from metamark, I confirmed our new prices with our supplier last week only to get another increase this week. 6-11% would be what be acceptable but we are seeing upto 80% increase on some products.

£30 increase on a roll of md5 for the last 2 weeks seems excessive tho we are now paying £60 more for a 50m roll than we were at the start of the month. It could be static if you've not had a problem before I would try printing a solid block of each CMYK might help identify If the problem is with one colour. Your print sample looks like the issue could be with cyan as the yellow looks OK worth a try.

If you don't want to invest in the machinery just yet it might be better to use a trade only supplier and when your banner orders are more frequent then invest in the equipment there are lots of very competitive trade suppliers for PVC Banner printing.

We used 3M IJ40 on 8 Ryan Air planes due to there budget requirements about 2 years ago I did tell then it's not the material I would reccomend but it's still on all the planes and no issues at all.

We use 3M 50 series and the 80 series both weed easily and we have had no problems with either, 80 series is only available in 1220 so if you have a smaller plotter you will need it slit but most suppliers do this foc.

The roof is well insulated but the wall are not the roof height is about 8m. You could have ducting to heat your office area also. We got our combat heatet on fleabay it was installed in a showroom then they decided to put a false ceiling in so it was as new condition.

If you print from an RGB file the rip will convert to cmyk as the printer can not print RGB as it's light not ink when it converts the file you may get some colour shift so your other colours may not print as you expect. It's a capping station issue have you tried turning the printer off from the main and back on it could just be out of sequence.

If this does not work try moving the capping station manually read in your manual how to do this if not sure.

Once you have calibrated a media you can save the setting on our XR640 it's in the menu I thinks it's the 1st option I'm not at work at the moment but if you need to know I can let you know tomorrow, save the profile and name it so you can recall it the next time you load the media.

What make of material are you using as it's best to get the profile for your media we have a Roland XR640 and mostly print on 3M IJ40 using the 3M IJ40 profile that is available from the rolanddg.com website all our colour are spot on

We have had a similar problem in the past the only thing we found that worked was G101 degreaser from auto smart, just spray it on leave 5 mins and wash off the we just wiped over with alcohol stuck perfect after that.

Not sure I've got this right but if you are talking about a free standing double sided sign that you need to put a banner on each side of. One option could be to weld or banner tape 3 sides of the banner and put it over the ply and cable tie it together at the bottom through the eyelets.

Hi we tried the grafityp commercial grade and would not recommend it, Nigel at grafityp replaced all the material we purchased with engineering grade which has been ok. we now only use 3M so that says enough about our experience with cheap reflective vinyl you get what you pay for.

It's advised to keep the temp at 20 deg and if your storing the media in the same place you will have problems with it when it hit the heaters on the printer you would be more advised to use a trade printer until you can get a better enviroment for the printer and you to work.

You need to be careful when bonding ACM most adhesives generate heat and will damage the face of the ACM, Could you not make them as sign trays so the fixings are not on the face? just an idea

We also use sage instant accounts, we have an enquiry form for when clients call to take all there details and arrange a site visit on site I will take all the details of the job then when back in the office create the quote in clarity and email the quote then you can see which quotes are still open...
