Exterior textured vinyl to cover bad fascia board - any recommendations?

Hi, I'm putting stand off acrylic letters on an old wooden fascia that doesn't have a straight line anywhere on it but needs a white background. I could paint it but that is awkward and time consuming so I'm looking for a rugged, textured white vinyl that might do the job quickly and easily - any kn...

Re: Flexisign problem, Production manager not responding & cannot change any plotter or port.

Not quite understanding that - I'm using a USB cable from my PC to the plotter instead of the old multi-pronged thingy, is that what you mean? I'm going to go back to that connection anyway and see if it makes a difference...

Re: Flexisign problem, Production manager not responding & cannot change any plotter or port.

Hi guys, thanks for all your advice. New twist to this saga: Artcut refusing to cut anything now!! Wits end has been reached and running out of excuses to customers N...

Re: Flexisign problem, Production manager not responding & cannot change any plotter or port.

yes, they suggested it was a fault with my PC, but why would it work alright on Artcut then?
May have to go down that route as a last resort I suppose - more expense!!

I made some 1000mm high "Marquee" letters (with the lightbulbs) about six or seven years ago out of 10mm black Foamex sides with 10mm white foamex faces and they're still going strong - indoor and outdoor.

Re: Flexisign problem, Production manager not responding & cannot change any plotter or port.

Flexisign problem, Production manager not responding & cannot change any plotter or port.

For some reason best known to itself Flexistarter Production manager won't let me go into set-up after re-installing. I press the appropriate button and it just gives a flash and nothing happens. Can i run a troughlight from solar power?

I've just moved premises and have a sign about 100 metres from my workshop with no power supply anywhere near. Is it possible to rig up an LED or fluorescent trough light using a solar panel like the ones you see at country bus stops?

whats the method of applying clear prints onto Dibond?

Hi I've just laid a big clear vinyl print with clear laminate onto a black dibond panel - the print is a logo only, the clear parts show the black background. Using just water & washing up liquid, the underside of the print is going cloudy as it is drying out and ruining the whole thing, looks l...

Thanks for all your replies today guys...my hearts with the "get it down" boys, but i like the idea of getting up early one morning and re-arranging the letters - it's called "SERENA" so the obvious rude word would be very funny indeed and sum up the bloke who took the business o...

advice on a legal matter

Has anyone had this experience and if so, how did they deal with it? Four months ago i got the job of making a new sign for a nightclub in a local town. It was a folded dibond panel, wrapped in vinyl with a set of stand off built ups in stainless effect dibond with LED halo lighting. I charged £2000...

Cheers Marcella, Guess I'd better fork out for a membership instead of just being a "newbie". I owe you a thank you, as my plotter cable disintegrated on sunday and i drove 30 miles to my nearest Maplins to get another one - only to discover (from one of you're previous postings) that plot...

mirror dibond

I made 2 sets of built-ups from mirror dibond for a new shop in Dublin ("FAB") at Christmas and they turned out really good - they were mounted on grids made of brushed stainless steel and lit with LEDs...

Rodney: Cheers mate, unfortunatley due to the conditions of the lease on my workshop I can't use a gas cooker - but you got me thinking! I bought a portable electric hob from Argos for £30 and built an aluminium based oven around it. It works okay, but does get a bit too hot, so i have to turn it of...

Is anybody running a Creation PCut plotter off Flexisign?

Is anybody running a Creation PCut plotter off Flexisign instead of it's own woeful Artcut software? When I try, Apart from cutting everything in reverse (which I can get around) the plotter knife won't lift after cutting a letter and leaves the movement lines as cut lines, therefore buggering up th...
