Is it accepable when flood coating if the vinyl isn't wide enough to use an overlap ie using 610mm on a 1000 mm panel?

I also find with a problem gradient take it into photo-shop and give it a gausian blur a few times helps a great deal. I also save these as a tiff with no compression dunno if that helps or not but works for me.

Don't know if the Soljet is supported in Versaworks but if it is you get a free app to use directly from Signlab. Send your print to and cut line directly to it and Go into Versaworks and see if it works that way.

I have a customer who wants an A board done and she wants to keep her original one.
Its the type you write on with chalk would vinyl stick to this surface with a thorough clean? Special Hi Tack vinyl or at best new A board.

At that width you will be lucky if it tracks true for any great distance. Slowing down the cutting and feed speed would be advisable.
And your vinyl will need to have good thick backing paper which some don't have nowadays. I usually go for around 570 causes a lot less grief.

Done it to a fiesta nightmare to get the proper curve as it goes both ways ended up doing one line in the middle and measuring and fitting one line at a time. NOT profitable unless you have the proper template. well for me anyway.

Had problems like that and I noticed a great difference after I went into the service menu and set the printer head alignment up there was a bit lax in the settings by the original engineer install
I'm sure i did it in the service mode and not your usual alignment options.

I use it a I find the colour profiles in Signlab poor compared to Versaworks.
I havent had any issues yet printing to versaworks at all. Thats all it does is export as level 3 eps as far as I can see.

Look at the lettering in your program with no fill and see where the lines come from. Do they overlap and if so did you do a "weld" to create a new outline. if you explain things a bit better people will help more I would say.

I wouldn't say so the company I mentioned seem to recommend lasers didnt read anything about it. As for proofs you mean on a laser or inkjet printer? Search some of the photo printing type sites for good colour reproduction. Some I read swore by the Epson 1290 1290S which has been superseded Anyway ...

DTG is supposed to be a nightmare with printers clogging up if not used all the time as far as I can make out and many don't deliver what they promise. Have a look at the DTG printing forums and you will see what I mean a lot of unhappy peeps by the look of it

Have a replacement sign to price in Dibond 10' by 4'
Which thickness of dibond should I look at pricing for I personally think the 3mm will be too thin. Am I correct. No folded edges as frame is already there just galvanized angle iron.

Skip the frog juice and get proper laminate The Oracal stuff is good 290 bout £4 a meter and apply wet for ease of applying no silvering as a result.

You dont need to change the bios settings anyway it will look at the flopy then cd drive then hard disk for a boot

Now I do exactly that cut an outline to the colour needed and apply that over the stripe design whatever and then the text over that sooo much simpler and hardly noticeable

I use Oracal 3651 for printing onto with a cadet then laminate with the proper laminate 290F I think it is. I tried the clear vinyl method hated it and its results compared to the proper laminate. Also apply wet saves a mountain of greif aswith the prper laminate you only get one chance.

Same as David in fact I find it much easier to do shadows wet and a few letters at a time as they do drift over longer names and areas.
No fancy home brews neither just use proper app fluid. A gallon goes a long way.

Get the Oracal laminate for 3651 290G I think it is
makes a fool of the clear and it puts a good gloss on it
Apply wet though as you don't get a second chance at all
Use a proper app fluid as well while you are at it

There are quite a few other places it can lurk and keep starting every time you boot if you look in the registry. Run run once etc etc which is why it reloaded I would do a search and see if you can find a tool to un instal it see if it is in the add remove programs list and get rid of it completely...

You should at least have RCC (Roland Colour Choice I think it is ) which is post script printing installed to get it to work correctly.
