Although I haven't tried vinyl, I have successfully cut down rolls of preassure sensative laminate with a chop saw with no problems.
I think the trick is to keep it tightly wound and wrap wide masking tape around the area that you're cutting through.

Finally got to bed around midnight and minutes later the alarm went at 5:45am. I leapt from bed full of the joys of spring and headed for work(yeah right!). Honestly though, I wouldn't change a thing, sure it was a long day (an even shorter night) and the show emphasis was biased to large digi print...

Looking for a dewalt 14.4v battery charger

Hi all,
I'm looking for a dewalt 14.4v battery charger for their cordless drill/driver. A new charger is available for £60+vat locally but as the drill is 2nd hand I'm a little wary of paying half of the new price when it could be a duffer :-?
Cheers Pete

which design should i choose for vinyl & digital print?

I've been working on a design to promote magnetics to potential clients. Here's what I came up with, now I need to choose 1 for vinyl and 1 for digital print. I'm looking for suggestions as to which might be used and if they have enough oomph as they stand or what tweaks might be made to improve the...

Gotta echo the praise you've already had on theses Nigel, excellent looking work. I take it these are the images you mention in my post? With your permission I'll download these images to show to my lead next time I see them. These should help persuade them into opening their thoughts up to new idea...

Rob, picking up on your earlier points, there is no logo/identity as yet this is part of what he's looking for as well as signage. As for posting pics of shop front I'm not sure, this forum is open and its quite likely local sign co's who aren't members and not active participants could scan the boa...

Btw Rob,
thanks for that response, in my excitement I'd stopped thinking of it as a design problem
and got carried away with the customers vision and trying to play the Big I am!

One of the problems with still being green I guess :-?

Cheers

Hi Rob, I feel the same way if I'm honest. but the metal was the clients idea. I agree it would be nice to steer him away from this to an extent, quite how far I don't know. There are four shops in total, I have a file for one so far and will get the others asap. I know I'm asking a lot blind please...

what can i do with shop facia panels in metal finish?

Ok here's the senario. Did a bit of cold calling this weekend with mixed success until I called into a salon. To cut a long story short the client is wanting quotes and ideas for an upmarket look to their signage/corporate image. We're thinking metal along the lines of brushed stainless steel but be...

Hi Paul, I for one would love to learn more about the type of work you do and how you do it.
So pull up that chair and dive right in, your more than welcome aboard.

Hopefully I'll also be getting a workspace soon, so I know that feeling of trepidation your having.

Good luck
