Hello from Stockholm!

Hi there,

Just followed a link here from letterhead.com where I have been a daily visitor since 96, although there are some great people there its nice to find some UK sites too.

I was born in Tavistock, Devon. but after may yaers of living in or around Knighton, Radnorshire (Powys), I met a Swede and got stuck here, started my sign business here 10 years ago.

Always been interetested in making more UK contacts, in the Signbusiness, don't feel too far away, what with Sky digital!

Hi Henry and welcome to the UKSG, we have signmakers from all around the world on the boards so although it is mainly UK based we also have influences from other parts of the world. Whats the sign business like in Sweden ? Did you have many problems with the language when you first started ?
I'll bet you have some funny stories you could tell !!!

Hi Henry

Nice to see you on the board, I read on letterville you have the edge now,
i was lucky and picked up a real bargin on this site a late edge 1 (18months old) and plotter and omega and about 20 full foils for £5k inc, it is a real learning curve but getting on top of it now, next time you are over pop in again and have a look

Regards Adrian

Welcome Henry!

Watch out Andy and Robert, the number of us “Edge” shops around here is increasing all the time. :o

Adrian, Henry made the switch to Omega recently from the older Graphics Advantage. It wasn’t necessarily a smooth transition for him but am under the impression he wouldn’t want to go back given the chance. Is that a fair statement Henry?

If it carries on at the rate it is going at the moment Robert will have to start a new "Edge forum". I'm sure he will be only to happy to do that eh Bob!!!!!!!!

Hi again,

Thanks for the warm welcome...I am looking forward to getting to know a few more UK based signfolk, I think this looks like a great place to be involved too

Hi to Adrian and Bob who know me from Letterhead.com, I am enjoying my Edge and Omega, Adrian are you using Omega 1.56? I had a beta version for a couple of months and now have the official release, there are some great improvements over 1.54, although I have still experienced a few hiccups with exporting ai files.

I will have to update my site....its over 3 years since I did, and there's lots of new stuff about now....I will try and dig out some pics of intersting jobs.

Bedtime for me will try and check the site out regularly and participate where I can.
