Re: Has everyone emigrated ?

It's as quiet on here as it is at work for me at the moment, it's been terrible for about for four weeks. Most people I speak to locally are saying the same thing but I always get nervous when it goes quiet :-(

I thought it seemed very quiet on here recently....

Workwise, we've been very busy all year, thankfully.

Re: Has everyone emigrated ?

I'm just about to return from honeymoon. But yes it does seem to be quiet in here.

By all accounts we've been rather busy whilst I've been away.

Been quite buoyant this year, the only exception is when the br**it deadlines approached, in March & November... whilst I hate to say the word, it's the only thing we can put it down too.

Re: Has everyone emigrated ?

I luckily have some nice jobs on the go, but on the whole I've less coming in that I feel comfortable with. Most of this year I've been doing 50-60hr 5 day weeks and booking vans two weeks ahead.. bit mis at the moment!

This forum has been a little quiet too...

Re: Has everyone emigrated ?

I haven't emigrated yet but I'm seriously considering it. All this Brexit nonsense is doing my head in. I voted to remain but accept the democratic vote to leave - yet this doesn't seem to get through to our all important politicians who think they have a god given right to ignore the ballot! The SNP are even bigger hypocrites - not only do they ignore ther brexit vote - they have the audacity to use it as a tool to argue for a second independance referendum!! Honest to god I'm sick to the back teeth of the lot of them. And the uncertainty they have created instead of getting onwith their jobs and obeying the will of the people has already harmed our economy.

I'm thinking of buying a small boat to live in, then I will rent out my home and head south for the winter. Probably Greece or Portugal, or maybe I could join the protesters in Paris even though I'm not sure what they're protesting about but I'm sure it's something to do with politics?

I think it’s something to do with construction workers not wanting to wear yellow vests

Re: Has everyone emigrated ?

I've not been around here due to workload and other work-related commitments within the industry for several weeks.
however, this site has multiple slow spells throughout the year. some appear random, others are obvious, like Sign Uk exhibition time, Christmas etc.
Just had a quick look at the analytics and the traffic is actually higher just now than the same period last year. so it is most likely just the "posts" count that is slow, which gives a slower than normal impression.

just now in the industry, I hear mixed views on workload. as I said, we are extremely busy and anyone I speak to are doing good or busy. whilst a few have been very slow and a couple on 4 day weeks. chalk and cheese!

I hate politics. I have never voted in my life. Personally, I want out the EU and I wanted Scotland to have independence. but whatever comes of the voting, we have to accept and move on. all this Brexit crap is boring. get out and start working towards our future...

My thoughts exactly, and I'm reluctant to blame brexit, but find it strange that we've had two quiet spells at the same time we should have left... leave and be done with it.

I've had 3 weeks off, but things seems to be busy enough, ready for my return tomorrow.

I won't be emigrating anytime soon... the brown stuff is hitting the fan tomorrow :bangshead:

I've done well to fight the red mist the past two days, so tomorrow I'm clearing the air, and putting my foot down.

No fireworks yet, should have calmed down by tomorrow.

Might sack off providing a photocopying service - It's just interruptions. We charge a minimum £1.00, then they want to pay on card :bangshead:

Re: Has everyone emigrated ?

Got in this morning...

"I'll go and print those stickers for XYZ"

Me "Has it been quoted yet?"

Reply "No not yet?"

:bangshead: "So why are you going to print them?" :bangshead:

Our order process is very, very, simple.

Quote -> Approval (either order number, or deposit for non account holders) -> Confirm completion date -> Produce

Seem's that doesn't apply when I'm not here :shake: Wouldn't mind, it's on the wall as an A2 poster in the office :bangshead:
