backing up and storing fonts

Hi,

how do you guys backup your fonts that are not standard with the software your using?

I use illustrator and suitcase. Some fonts are installed directly into windows fonts which are in illustrator, most are in suitcase. My question is if my system went down tomorrow, i wouldnt have this selection of fonts which i have added into illustrator and suitcase.

Cant find a folder within suitcase that could be backed up.

Re: backing up and storing fonts

When you add the fonts into the library in Suitcase, you tell suitcase where the font is.

All our fonts are stored in a 'fonts' folder on the server, so all the computers can access them, it would then just be a case of backing up the fonts folder.

Any new fonts get added into the fonts folder.

It took a while but i uploaded all the fonts i had all over the place to a folder on dropbox. I add all the new fonts to it as i go along, it can then be accessed by all the other PCs if they need a font thats not on their computer.

The font folder in control panel is only for the fonts installed in illustrator. Some are there but too many and they are a nightmare to find and slows it down
