Roland Eco Sol Max Inks

Need to buy some more Eco Sol Max Inks for our Roland SP540i.

I have noticed non genuine inks for sale at greatly reduced prices when compared to genuine Roland.

Should non genuine inks be considered or not?

What’s everyone’s experience of using non genuine inks?

We have always used genuine Roland inks to date, just wondering if we should be taking advantage of the cost savings or not?

Would appreciate your feedback.

Re: Roland Eco Sol Max Inks

I’ve been running Nazdar inks in all my Rolands for years. Never had any issues, get through litres of it every year. Give Stuart a call at SL print supplies, he’s a good guy & wont steer you wrong. He’ll give you a warranty on all wet parts.

Re: Roland Eco Sol Max Inks

Am one that sticks to genuine.

The way I see it is a job that uses 5ccs of ink let’s say, cost me £0.75, where as 3rd party will be £0.40 or there abouts. It’s not actually giving me much of saving per job.

I’ve seen local jobs go up from folks using 3rd party, signs that were yellow are now shiny white in less than 6 months. That could be related to other issues also. Am sure it’s just like any other copies, some are really good, others are rubbish.

We are also covered with Roland, and after last weeks head strike, it’s worth it for me to remove that risk or possible doubts.

I always use genuine Roland ink cartridges.
The 'mileage' is very good.

Re: Roland Eco Sol Max Inks

I have the same printer as you and I'll second Nazdar inks. Used them for over a year and no problems at all.

I wouldn't use anything but Roland ink when i first bought it but then realised that the saving on using 3rd party would add up to alot at the end of the year and would be worth the risk.

I 1st tried ink from digi print supplies and wasn't happy with them. Colour was different and the ink dried quicker meaning extra cleaning cycles as nozzles would be blocked almost ever morning.
