How to approach this job, trailer covered with blank blue banner material?

Good day all,

How to approach this job, trailer covered with blank blue banner material?

Ideally client wants big digitally printed sticker on it?

Have you done something similar?

What material shall I use?

The important thing for me is: what will last longer?

I'm not sure a sticker would last very long before getting damaged when the curtain is opened up.

May be a better option to get a heavy duty banner printed (or proper curtain) with the eyelets in the specified locations so it effectively replaces the curtain. One upside of this, is that the customer gets to put a new set of covers back on it if he sells it or wants a change!

Many years ago before digital printers, we use to get vinyl for banner. (quite a flexible vinyl)

Sold as 3 years material.

This will limit artwork to solid cut colors.

Pane, banner vinyl will do the job or a better option is a company called APA. They sell truck curtain vinyl, limited colour range but its very strong bonding and flexible. ive done many curtains myself nd no problems. They also sell a printable option. Give them a buzz. apaspa.com

hi payne
I have used the apa printable on my solvent printer
really good results
its weird stuff fairly easy to apply glue takes a while to go off but when it does it aint coming off without a fight
I can vouch for the apa std truck vinyl as well

That APA Truck vinyl will never come off Pane.
Even if you try to get it off it will defeat you.

APA will do the job good.
The issue with printable curtain vinyl is print durability.
there was never a compatible laminate for it in some years back when we used it.
If this is still the case then you should look at some form of liquid laminate to protect your prints because curtains take a lot of abuse!
they are subjected to all the same elements any vehicle is, but more so because the the curtains thrash against themselves when being opened and closed continually throughout the day. anyway, just a tip to apply some form of liquid laminate. Obviously UV ink/printed, then different thing as its a much more durable print against chemical and abrasion damage.
