Grafityp graficast vinyl wrap

Has anyone here had any experience with this wrap?
Used grafityp for many years in our last business, haven't tried them in the new one. I found the prices a bit high early on when I asked for a quote however going through the online prices they aren't so bad on quite a few items.
Especially this wrap, £15 a metre roughly seems very reasonable compared to Avery supreme at (my best price) £25pm plus vat

If others are using it with good results I may have to get some on order!

They don't seem to push their wrap vinyl range much, considering how much the other manufacturers are making out if it... I think their vinyls aren't air release though?

Oracal is a good bet if you want something more competitive whilst till being a quality product.

Re: Grafityp graficast vinyl wrap

Grafityp’s wrap vinyl isn’t the easiest to fit but is good quality, start with it and you’ll find fitting anything else is a dream!
I did try their air release version but had problems with quality control and had a couple of rolls that were contaminated, we are going back probably 4/5 years now though!

If you want cheap then metamark MDX range is worth a try, the air release is good but not guaranteed in deep recesses, I really like the non air release version but I know some don’t like it.

The Arlon SLX material looks very impressive but I’ve not used it personally.

The grafityp I’ve fitted over 100 metres of and the Metamark probably over 500 metres now and no complaints.

A lot of it is down to personal preference

Re: Grafityp graficast vinyl wrap

I'm actually just doing some with mdi from metamark, it's pretty good but not too good in deep recesses.
I was looking for a reasonable vinyl for colour change wraps though, and they seem to have some nice colours available.
Without air release though I don't think I would even try it!

The image hasn't been sent to the customer yet but, I think he'll be happy

Disregard my comments please! I thought we were talking printable material!

Avery supreme might seem expensive but you’ll save the money back in application time.

Re: Grafityp graficast vinyl wrap

To a large degree you get what you pay for, there is nothing wrong with some of the less expensive wrap vinyls such as KPMF or Grafityp but you will never fit then as quickly as you will fit films like Avery supreme & they are less forgiving making them generally more difficult to fit.
So if you are running a business where time is money & its important to get jobs completed as quickly as possible then the likes of Avery, 3M & Arlon are films well worth looking at. If time isn't so important then Grafityp & KPMF may well be an option worth considering

Have a search on the forum as there have been other posts about this sort of subject.

Re: Grafityp graficast vinyl wrap

Just to throw another in.. I’ve been using the Hexis HX20 & 30000 ranges, nice films, deep recesses don’t seem to be a problem.

Have used a number of the Grafityp films too, usually sparkly or carbon, I’m not a speedy wrapper and they work fine for me - just keep room / vehicle temp sensible with the carbon films - brittle when cool
