Replacing light box panels help

Hi guys , a friend of mine is opening a shop and there is a existing light box frame installed without the front panels. I have not had a chance to get down there but looking at the attached image would They be able to slide a new set of Perspex panels in ?

I normally sub let my led work out , but as always they are on a limited budget.

Thanks

Re: Replacing light box panels help

Not the best picture to judge by...
but I would say it would slide in from the right hand side as the pillar and the sign next door looks to be flush with the box, which would make it possible to slide panels in.
Without a visit you need a few close up pictures to be sure.

You also need to check to see if the bead has been set for 3mm or 5mm acrylic. (But would probably be 5mm)

Re: Replacing light box panels help

Thanks guys for your replays , I'm hoping for some more pics today.

Andy I was thinking the same thing about the thickness so I'll have to get down there.

Would I use standard white or the Opel colour panels and would it make a different to the colour I need if I use full colour print or standard vinyl lettering

Thanks

Depends if its being illuminated.
If it is then must be opal panels with translucent vinyl for cut lettering or full colour print on clear or maybe some white backed printed vinyl would work.

If its not to be illuminated solid panels will be fine.

Some light boxes are front loaders ie where you cant slide in either side the panels goes up and in at about 30 degrees then push back and hangs from the top on a hanging strip.

Re: Replacing light box panels help

Hi guys just got a updated image, looks like the panels can be slide in. Can anybody recommend where I can get some corners for the frame , so the boards don't fly out or something along those lines.

Re: Replacing light box panels help

You need to know what profile it is Danny, which may not be easy. I don't recognize it.

You'll have to improvise otherwise. The panel once in wont go anywhere but will be liable to some expansion

Re: Replacing light box panels help

Have a look inside the box. If you're lucky you may find however removed the last set of panels bay have left the extrusion lying loose inside the box for safe keeping
