Painted wooden signs for trade show.

Here are some I just finished.
While I did not design their logo, I have been doing signs for this company for almost 10 years.

Every spring they attend the Pittsburgh Home show and they always get me to help with their display. I usually have total free rein so that's a plus, and they never haggle about price and are stand-up guys.

This year I made 18"x24" signs for them from pre-finished MDO plywood.
I painted the background color after scuffing with a Scotchbrite pad, gilded the borders with variegated leaf, and using a stencil I dry-brushed the lettering.

Then I unmasked and outlined. I consulted with sign friends on FB about the pinline outline color, finally choosing a dull green.
(I was tempted to use red as their trucks are all red)

Then I used regular brown paste shoe polish and some elbow grease to antique them.
After antiquing.
Before antiquing.

Beautifull work Jill..

Love the guilded borders and the finiished antique effect is awsome.

Who needs one of those computer things aye

Great looking signs Jill, love the variegated leaf.

All you need to do now is take a hammer to them, that'll really antique them :D

The green outline does work really well.
