Help please, managed to lose a pallette

Hope someone can help, very frustrating.

While adjusting a rectangle I somehow managed to 'fling' one my docked palettes (I had rgb and pantone sitting on the right side) completely out of the viewing window or somewhere above the top of the window and I cannot get it back.

Does anyone know of a way to retrieve it, I've tried deleting it and restoring it in 'windows - palettes -' but it seems it restores somewhere out of view

Don't really want to try a F8 default since I've got Corel set up with a fair bit of customisation.

I don't think you can loose the palette off the edge as you can have it in a separate window or I presume another monitor.

I still think it is a setting.

What version of Draw?

Just found this..........worth a shot.

Re: [coreldraw] Re: CorelDraw x3 - lost color palette

| It must be opened somewhere but for the life of me I can not find it.

I recall someone with similar problem a couple of years ago. Said he must
have accidentally shoved a docker (or some such) off the screen with his
mouse, and no amount of F8s, etc., would bring it back. He finally tried
increasing his computer screen resolution to make everything smaller and
found it off to the side--and retrieved it.

Thanks very much for that Tim, weird but seems to make sense somehow; will try the resolution trick in a little while.... could not believe that I'd lost it 'out of corel ' myself but at first there was a part of the palette hanging down but when I tried to retrieve it I sort of nudged it out of view and no amount of trying could get it back

Thanks again, X4 by the way, although we also have X5.

Hi John,

Have had a problem in the past when the programme I was using wouldn't work because the dialogue box (that needed to be pressed first) was off screen and couldnt be found.

Never thought to do what Tim suggested, but used a different method which may help??

(following from internet)

Press Windows Key + M (minimize all windows.)
Use Alt+Tab until you have the missing window active, and release the keys.
Right-Click on the taskbar and choose Move from the Context menu. Now you should see that your mouse pointer changes into a crossarrow. There is of course nothing to drag or move on your screen, so:
Depending on which side of the monitor you have extended your desktop, use the arrow-keys (up,down, left, right) to maneuver the window back in place.

Maybe might help?

Well, well; tried both of your suggestions but no luck I'm afraid but as a last gasp effort before re-installing Corel I tried using a restore point for Windows (not Corel) to an earlier time before I mistakenly sent my palette into the ether; and it worked! no idea why but it just came back again like it had never been away.

Phew :o

George, place cursor over toolbar and right click - customise - workspace - export.

John, not heard of a pallette going missing to that extent, do other pallettes open ok?

Yes, lesson learned here Tim, shall copy my customised workspace.

Really was a wierd one Alan, all palettes showed OK, even the one I lossed. I wondered if I had somehow managed to pick up the palette docker and place it somewhere else inside Corel and not outside, for example somewhere in the title bar/toolbar/menu bar ; I had a look around but couldn't find it though.
