The official SIGN UK photo thread

Just a few to start you off!

Image

Image

Image

Now lets see all the drunken ones from the evenings at the hotel.

Great to bump into Shane and have a chat.
A joy to meet Jill again.
Thanks for coming over to our corner of the pond and enjoy the short time you have over here.

And nice to chat to the few that I had time to.

The show itself was a bit disappointing but to be honest I didn't think it was going to be any better than before. I see Spandex cut right back on its fancy stands. A sign of the times I think. :(
I bumped into a few more after the meet, John Singh and his wife and someone whom I better not mention on this forum.

Till we meet again! :D

:lol1: very funy.... I had the last laugh though.... Some west idian came up to me at the show sprouting on about how poor the poms were playing and telling me that i must be scared of losing the next time the poms play them. I told him that the WI were by far a better team, and that us poms secretly worshipped the ground the aussie cricketers walked on. Aside from a few poms that overheard the discussion and wanted to string me up. i thought the WI guy was going to shake my hand till it fell off!!

Hi, it was great to get together yesterday at the show and have a chat to a few of you.

What a pleasure to meet Jill (did you find any brushes after Jill) and Shane in person and also Marcella, Nik, Dave, George, Peter, John and Mike.

Hope Jill and Shane enjoy the rest of their stay here in Blighty and have a safe journey back home.

Just wish I could have stayed longer and chat more, maybe next year.

Sorry John...not the most flattering picture in the world but you did have the excuse that listening to Richard's panel beating stories sent you to sleep... ...the only funnier thing was seeing Brian less awake on his stand the following morning

I didn't take too many pix at the show (none really!) I was too busy "socializing".
But here are some which Nik and possibly George took that night.
I still cannot get over how much younger everyone looks in person.
I couldn't say who shocked me the most, but it's a tossup between Neill, Rich, and Brian.
I mean their real selves as opposed to their avatars!

Thanks Friends,

Unfortunately I didn't have time to run them through photoshop to adjust the settings. With 466 photos of my trip.... not enough time.

I had an absolute ball, Johns Singhs comment that everyone looked happy is my thought to. Everyone certainly seemed to be. Thing that impressed me most, and something you'll not find in too many situations like this, is that there were no egos at all. It was just friends meeting friends. That struck me right from day one when Peter and Lynn picked me up for a day out.

We might not agree on everything, but it does not effect our personal enjoyment of each others company. And frankly, that's a pretty good definition of friendship in my book.

Thanks again for everyone who took the time to say hello, way too many to name, but it was a total blast for me to me welcomed into your circle, and is easily a highlight in my business life to date,

Martin, Tell Esther we can discuss retribution when you bring the family to Oz for a holiday... :)

Anyone is welcome to use these as avatars. If you want me to tidy any up, just drop me a line.

Cheers
Shane

Had a good laugh at some, like Dereks cheesy grin but more at the barman behind who looks like he's had his brain sucked out with a straw.

Kate in brians picture at the table he has his hands out wide and has a comment above it about his hard drive. (in the file box comments) :lol1:

then outside the restaurant john childs is doing same...

then in one of your pictures your hands are also out wide in same sort of gesture... but your behind the magazine rack. :lol1:

not sure what peter is on about though, here he is showing how big his is, or is that how little. :lol1:

I am also glad someone got a pic of the "fireplace" which added such a nice ambiance to the private dining room!
I was only sorry that I hadn't packed any marshmallows.

John, the fireplace was on a TV screen on the back wall.
And I am the barefoot gal.
(my shoes were too big and I was too tipsy to walk in them)
Altho I did throw out my pantyhose when I got back to the hotel.
And wash my feet.
Lord only knows what was on those floors.
