I need a source for Static Cling Window Film. can you help?

Could someone recommend a source for the above, I'm only looking for smallish quantity (around 5 -10 mtrs). Also has anyone tried this on Brians favourite machine  (Roland PC60) then used the white ribbon for back printing?

Many Thanks
Sharon

Arghhhhh the dreaded pc60. Last time I used one of their white ribbons you could just rub what it printed off. Dunno if they have improved any since then.

however i dont know of anyone stocking it in the uk,

Molco are our supplier of static film, if you speak to your local Europoint branch, they may order you a full roll with one of their shipping orders

I bought a roll from Cox Plastics, 50mtr roll at 1000mm wide, dont know if they still stock it as this was a special offer. Dont know your local Branch but the Scottish branch is 01236 617771. They should be able to tell you if they stock it and your local depot.

Static Cling Window Film

Thanks all for the help. Will look into suggestions. It's great being able to enquire instead of spending precious time surfing and getting nowhere.

window cling

the difference between the printing grade of window stick and the signmaking grades are to my knowledge as follows

sign grade

is available in more than 20 opaque and translucent original colours and Film thickness: 150 micron
Backsheet: 180 grs/sqm

screen grade

is available in white and clear, Standard thickness: 100 µm - 300 µm (Special: up to 1 mm)

and the surface is treated so it can be offset, flexo or screen printed.

I also think that the backing sheets are different between the two products

Static Cling Vinyl

Have a look at http://www.victory-design.co.uk

they sell it on a 1m roll which you can get slit down to whatever size you need. I run it through our pc-600 and it always comes out perfectly.
