OMG OMG, I go away on a fitting job, come back one day later and LOOK AT ALL OF YOU!!! Does anyone on here know how many members there are??, I just purely by accident happened to stumble upon this site while looking for a company called autac ltd, who looks like they dont exist anymore, saw this site just jumped in and waved my virtual arms in the air WOOO HHOOO!! HELLO to everyone especially those who I have not mentioned by name yet phew!! :thumbup2:
Peter.... I probably could handle what ever it is you wanted to show me in that link, but my computer cant ..... it just goes all goofy when I try to see..... maybe it is my angels protecting me from corruption of the eyes!!
but I DO have a good imagination.....its not all you lot out there getting naked is it......EEEKKKKKKKKK, that doesnt mean that I have too does it????.....I COULDNT POSSIBLY!!!! I know im a keen signwriter, but I have read the terms to joining this site and it doesnt mention that as an initiation or anything!!!
After nearly maiming myself with a scalpel yesterday, I am going to have a go at starting a new post...is that what you call it? on the general discussion board.

hi cheryl, nice to see you here and I wasn't pleased to see that link with the calendar idea.. oh no.

were a good bunch here... the site is run by Robert and he has a number of helpers like Andrew, Carrie and Nik. It is also membership based which you can see above our names, you pay for access to tutorials, discounts and places where you can swap files, or submit quotes or sell old machinery. The site as you can see is protected against advertising appart from the UKSG suppliers, so you cannot see profiles or company names of us. The only people who can see your website are the UKSG (UK Sign group) members. We have a set of rules in Board Rules above which we are whipped too!

Hope you enjoy your stay, feel free to share your signmaking skills with us as we share our skills with you.

Georgio you've blown me cover you ba****d, :(

Cheryl, l Imade a corex sign a few years back, using some sticky back plastic and some scissors (NOT A SCALPEL) and I feel that entitles me to be on this site as much as anyone else. Haven't got a clue what your all on about, vinyl, cutters digi print and all that ol bolax.
But I seem to be picking it up, when I've finished my round I might have another go at a sign, just struggle with the curved lettes with the scissors.

Still the usual 2 pints delivered on Staurday Georgio??

have you tried the real professional Hardboard, Emulsion and 6 inch brush technique!! great for sweeping curves. letters need to be about four foot high tho. oh and remember to swing from the waist and keep a one arm bent with hand on hip and both feet firmly on the floor.

Could you remove my picture Peter? There's a reason that is a member's only forum.

AWWWWWWWWWW me GWWWWWWD!!! too late Marek, saw it.......poor fing, didnt want to cause embarassment!!! Fantastic what you guys did....you'll do for signwriting what helen mirrum did for Womens institute!
Can you make jam too?? No Honestly.... I looked away IMMEDIATELY to spare your (and my) blushes.... :noeveil: it is difficult nowadays to emulate the saints.....and that is an ambition of mine....I DO like a challenge and am sure I am failing miserably, but you pick yourself up and try, try try again.
ANDREW BENNETT........ thanks for the message, I cant return messages privately yet as I have yet to cough up subs.....but in reply... Thank you, yes, I have been doing this for about 18 years and have done a number of wraps. I was shown how to do it years ago by someone who popped round from a vinyl supplier (cant remember which one) they did a 2 hour session, and from there it is all just being brave....the vinyl knows if you are scared of it and will act like a badly trained dog....you have to be the VINYL MASTER! and be the boss, it tends to be more forgiving then. It is like having a good gym workout after fitting this stuff, it is very physical. It also pays to know your heatgun well, how hot etc....I have found the best way to do it is to have two people doing it, but I generally work on my own so just bite the bullet and get on with it.

Marek,
I am either way off base

Hi Cheryl, a belated welcome to the forum, I've been away myself for quite a while so I have an excuse for not saying hello sooner.

Cheryl if we have spoken before it must have been quite recently, I have only just returned myself after about 18 months or so away from the boards. Had a look at your website and there is some terrific work. Maybe just me but I got the impression there was a bit of an American influence with some of the liveries.
