5mm foamex IS a budget product!! If he needs something cheaper offer correx but don’t forget that the manufacturing cost – vinyl – labour etc remains constant. Therefore shaving a few pounds of the boad won’t affect the overall price much.

    hi derek
as your a uksg member mate ide suggest looking in the europoint section under leboard, has a limited colour range and comes in max size of about 8×4 i think… BUT is an alternative to the likes of di-bond/alu-colour/rynabond etc 8×4 is about £40 i think, best checking. with a bit of a jump in price, but you are getting a great product, various colour stable on one side and white on the rear to help use up offcuts. check under alu-colour.
alternatively, you can get dibond from cox and rynabond from amari plastics.
