  • Cyrious software – How much does it cost?

Posted by Jim Croisdale on March 11, 2008 at 7:04 pm

    Hi all,

I’m currently using Cyrious daily in my job at Fastsigns and so am looking to purchase it for my new startup business – stick with what you know!

I’ve been to the Cyrious site, which is all very nice, but the one thing it doesn’t tell you is how much it costs!!!!

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Jim

Must just be a Fastisigns thing then? It is an American software company after all.

Really neat program – does allsorts.

Oh well. What does everyone else use for their customer database/estimates/invoicing/emailing/reports etc etc etc?

    Cheers,

Jim I think you will find that very few people in the UK have heard of it, as you say it is an American Company.
I would imagine a lot of people over here, small one man bands anyway don’t use anything like that as it does far more than a start up business would require.
I have Quickbooks Pro but only because of another American Franchise !!
There are a few other people on the boards use quickbooks and there has been some discussion about other invoicing & pricing software.

Try doing a search on the boards as you may find some more info more quickly than waiting on people posting.

    😀 😀

Yeah, see if he will burn a copy on cd for you.

    seriously though Jim

There is plenty of discussion on the boards about pricing/data base software.

    Personally I use this

Martin – just has a look at the Quoteworks site and it looks good! How much will that set me back then? Why do none of these sites have pricing on them? Grrrrrr…..

Cost me about £600 inc if I remember right, that was with them coming down and installing it and training for the day.

That does include the estimator module which is the expensive part.
You can have a linked up demo from them, speak to Mark Checkley if interested.

hum Mark Checkley, is he not an x Clarity(touch systems) guy think he took lots of customers with him or something.

Anyway I use Clarity Professional, brilliant system used by another big sign franchise company.

    Cheers

Wow, there’s a name from the past.
I dealt with Mark when he was developing SignTific estimating & management software after it was taken over by Touch Systems.
They used it as a base to develop Clarity.
I still use SignTific today, much suited to a small or large sign business but the program is no longer available for purchase.
I would be absolutely lost without it though and Clarity Lite would be the next step. http://www.claritypro.co.uk/products_claritylite.php
    £250 per user.

    Brain overload imminent……

Perhaps if I list the features that I need someone can tell me which is the best for me:

    🙄

    1. Searchable customer database with all the usual info.
    2. Estimate creation/send via email or print
    3. Convert estimates to invoices.
    4. Invoices can be marked ‘In Progress’ or ‘Picked Up’ or ‘Closed (paid & collected)
    5. Orders/estimates can be searched too
    6. Accounts receivable summary printout
    7. End of month/year reports

I guess I kind of need a database/estimating/invoicing package with enough accounting stuff so that It’s all I need to give to my accountant at the end of the year. I don’t want to be fiddling with Sage or anything else If i can help it!

Is this making sense? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!

    Cheers,
    Jim
