I have a customer who has been a complete pain in the you know what and to top it all he has just announced that the BMW X5 that I am due to part wrap has just been Autoglym Lifeshined, is this going to create problems?

I dont know anything about the autoglym system, but unless you can succesfully get that off the paintwork I wouldn’t be issuing any long term guarantees for your wrap 😕

Simple answer would be a test patch (as long as your customer is happy). Pick an awkward spot that could potentially fail.

I would use the the necessary cleaning routine for your vinyl supplier. My favourite cleaner is the 3M Surface Prep for pre-prepped surfaces. Then apply and give it a couple of weeks.

To my knowledge the autoglym system you have shown is a carbon protection system. This should not in theory cause vinyl not to tack.

But I would tread carefully and test the product. If you are using for example the 3M 1080 call them before fitting as they may say straight away that is not covered by their warranty.

    Hope some of that helps?

Thanks both, the customer has arranged to have the product removed by his valeter and I have agreed to do the job but I have said that it should be ok although I wont offer a guarantee, so doing it tomorrow
