Is it possible to find the distance around an object or letter's perimeter using Flexi? I was able to find it using Omega but I no longer have that program. I need to find the distance around so I can estimate how much aluminum coil and Jewelite I will require for channel letter jobs.

an interesting feature for a sign software.

any time i have made built-ups, (which isnt often) i pen plot my template for the letters which i will later need for creating my locator template. i then take a length of string wand walk it around the parimetre of plotted letter. i then add a couple of inches and then cut the returns to size.

i would imagine software that runs automated channel/built-up letters like the arete return workshop and the like would come with this feature in the software, but for vinyl cutting? then again... signlab and flexi also run cnc routers... so maybe im missing the obvious.

if you go Edit - Statistics it will give you cut length of perimeter, area, size, text, shape etc which i believe is what you are after you can also export the info for printing out etc
